Daisy Meyer is a Training and Service Learning Program Manager for the nation’s largest non-profit solar organization, GRID Alternatives. She has been connecting learners with solar career training, technical PV skills and resources since 2015. She’s worked with national companies including Sunrun, Tesla and SunPower as well as local Bay Area companies including Solar Works, Luminalt and Sun Light and Power to directly hire her learners. She’s been on the Santa Rosa Junior College solar advisory board for five years and is thrilled the solar program is kicking off.
Daisy served a yearlong term as a Nevada Conservation Corps Fellow, where she learned that you don’t have do be a man to use chainsaws, jackhammers and other power tools. Solar has a lot of power tools involved, so she loves that.
Daisy has over 10 years of experience connecting people to the workforce and career pathways. She’s committed to lifelong learning of and implementing of more equitable, inclusive teaching practices.
